MMHA Picture Night

Merritt Minor Hockey Picture night will be on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Picture forms will be handed out directly to managers this year instead of being left in the office.  Please email me at arae1@telus.net or text 250-378-7159 to arrange pick up by Thursday, October 21^st so they can be handed out at practices prior to picture day. 

We have moved to a “Green Screen” format as to follow COVID-19 guidelines better & ensure everyone’s safety.  Important to know that with this format of photos, nobody can bring or wear anything green (ex. Stick tape).  The photos are done from the knee up so skates are not required this year.

Please make sure you advise your team the following information, so the forms are completed correctly:

• Coach’s Name (only one per team)
• Team Name
• Team Sponsor
• Association Name

For those that have never been through a picture night before and as a reminder to for those who have-organization is key! This is very important again this year considering the circumstances.  As you can see there is little time between teams so staying on schedule is key .

Please have the kids lined up outside in the same order as they appear on the completed picture form.  Keep them in the same order as they go upstairs to line up. Parents are asked to wait outside for their children. 

*Coaches are responsible for their teams during picture night!

MMHA Photo Night: Wednesday, October 27^th, 2021

RULES:

• All players must be wearing a mask to enter, wait in line & exit the arena as soon as pictures are done.
• All volunteers 12+ will need to provide BC Vaccine Card. Anyone 19+ will need BC Vaccine Card & a piece of ID please.
• All players must come completely dressed and ready to go. Skates are not required. Being that we are not doing the photos on ice this year, photos will be from the knee up and kids will stay in their shoes. There will be NO dressing rooms/bathrooms available for any changing beforehand.
• All players must bring their own stick.
• DO NOT wear anything green or have any green tape on your child’s stick.
• Hockey bags will NOT be allowed into the arena. No exceptions.
• Please coordinate socks & jerseys prior to photo night to avoid delays.
• No parents will be permitted in the building. We will have help for the kids to navigate where to go once inside.
• Team photos will be done this year. Coaches are expected to have their photos taken as well.
• Coach/Manager duties (Please note only coaches will be allowed in the arena). I would suggest bringing along a clip board to fill out the info below:
  • responsible for printing out their own team screening check sheet, completing and then handing to the person at the door upon entering.
  • responsible for filling out AAA’s roster form and handing it into the photographer upstairs.
  • Waiting for their team once photos are done and making sure they are safely delivered to a parent/guardian outside.
• Please try and remain as socially distanced as possible and respect COVID-19 Guidelines during this process.

PROCESS:

1. Please meet as a team outside no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled slot. Please wait socially distanced until your team is called to enter along the arena/curling rink.
2. Teams will enter one at a time through the side door beside the lobby (nearest the Curling Rink).
3. Once your team is called, go directly up the stairs to the mezzanine.
4. Sanitize hands & line up along the pylons as you wait for your turn.
5. Children will be responsible for submitting their order form into the receptable once they are called up.
6. Done.

8. Exit out thru the opposite door upstairs & down the stairs to the back parking lot along Garcia Street.

**IMPORTANT: Due to social distancing in place and the need to stay apart it is extra crucial to arrive on time and leave on time to ensure there is room for others.  Please DO NOT visit or congregate in the parking lots, front of the entrance or exit. Thank you.
